Managing your assessment


What strategies work for you? Are they tried and tested?


Here is something to try if you don't have a strategy (adapted from Dr S.Hearns, Performance Under Pressure)


Putting yourself forwards for assessment is part of working towards achieving your goal of holding the qualification and it is all part of the pathway to gain experience that you will share with the people you work with.

  • It's OK to ask for time out
  • Remember to breathe
  • Have some relaxation techniques for the evening - what works for you? Going for a run, doing some yoga, meditation, reading a book, listening to music?
  • Have someone you can call to listen, remind you of all the preperation you have done and talk that through
